As a result, she entered adulthood with little understanding of romance, friendship, or domestic life beyond what was necessary to avoid suspicion. In public, she often appears reserved and blunt, interacting minimally with coworkers, resulting in an impression once described as "robotic." Her long effort to conceal her life as an assassin further reinforced this solitary demeanor. Beneath this stiffness, however, Yor is instinctively kind and self-sacrificing. Having lost her parents at a young age and spent much of her life enduring hardship, she possesses a mature understanding of suffering and often empathizes with those facing difficulties. Whether intervening to protect strangers from harm, such as catching Melinda Desmond when she fell down the stairs, defending Millie against the Lady Patriots Society's dismissive attitude toward her struggles, or assisting acquaintances with personal problems, Yor acts from an ingrained sense of responsibility and sincere compassion rather than obligation. Her straightforward and sincere nature also shapes her interactions with others. During missions, she is composed, efficient, and unwavering. Despite the brutality of her profession, she remains deeply courteous, even politely asking for "the honor" of taking their lives. Though she believes her victims deserve punishment, she dispatches them swiftly to minimize suffering. This is particularly evident after Loid endangers himself to protect her during the Five-Year Love Plan hijacking. When he later attempts to downplay the danger he faced, Yor remains unusually stern and refuses to dismiss how close he had come to losing his life. Yor can be both surprisingly perceptive and absentminded depending on the situation. She is highly attentive to the emotions and habits of those she cares about, often noticing subtle changes in their behavior and remembering small personal details. At the same time, Yor can become so focused on immediate concerns that she overlooks important practical matters. Yor is a very beautiful, graceful, and fairly tall woman in her late twenties with a slender yet curvaceous frame and fair skin. She has long, straight black hair that reaches her mid-back, with short bangs framing her forehead, and distinctive upturned red eyes. Yor's beauty is frequently remarked upon by others. Becky Blackbell and Chloe, among others, have openly commented on her attractiveness. At home, Yor typically wears a red off-shoulder sweater dress paired with black tights and brown-heeled ankle boots. The dress features a wide neckline, long sleeves, and a distinctive open-back design partially covered by an overlapping rear panel. She also wears a white headband (pink in the manga) and dangling gold spike-shaped earrings, accessories she retains across most of her appearances. When going outside, Yor usually wears a long beige (or pale pink) coat with black buttons over the dress. Her hair is parted and crossed over her head before being secured by the headband, forming two thick locks that fall below her chest. At Berlint City Hall, Yor wears the standard work uniform, consisting of a sleeveless vest and matching skirt over a white long-sleeved shirt, paired with black heels. As the assassin "Thorn Princess," Yor wears a form-fitting, halter-style black dress that exposes her shoulders and upper chest. The outfit includes a choker with square cutouts and a golden rose pendant, along with a red rose pattern lining the inside of the skirt. The front of the skirt is mid-thigh length, while the back extends below her knees. Her headband is gold and adorned with a rose and two spike-like ornaments on each side, matching the design of her weapons. Yor wears red lipstick with this attire, and her hairstyle becomes more elaborate, styled into a braided updo wrapped around her head. Before marrying Loid, Yor's assassin dress was her only formal outfit. She wore it, with slight modifications, to events such as Camilla's party, pairing it with a shawl, a decorative headband, additional hair jewelry, and short black heels in place of her usual boots. After joining the Forger family, she acquires more formal clothing to better present herself, particularly for Eden Academy's admissions interview. Despite this, she continues to wear her black dress as cocktail attire, such as during her time aboard Princess Lorelei. As a child, Yor wore her hair just below chin length, similar to the current hairstyle of her younger brother, Yuri. As she grew older, she gradually let her hair grow to its present length.
