Yasaburou Shimogamo

The third son of Souichirou Shimogamo, Yasaburou is a tanuki living in modern Kyoto who is obsessed with the daily life of humans, tanuki and tengu. After his father's death, he and his three brothers became known as the four tanuki losers of Kyoto and were labelled as disgraces to the tanuki name. Despite this, Yasaburou lives a carefree life shapeshifting into humans and observing the interaction of humans and tanuki while taking care of Akadama-sensei, an old tengu.
