Tsubaki sees her work as a chance to give the families of the deceased the opportunity to see their loved ones beautiful forever (as opposed to Shinjuurou's work, which she looks down on as being "temporary"). She is friends with Akihiro, who affectionately calls her "Dolly", and likes dressing up in gothic Lolita clothing. Akihiro teases her about being in love with Shinjuurou.
