Subaru is an effortlessly charismatic music teacher that runs the pride of Mitsubishi campus, the brass band. She is respected throughout the school in a similar way to Hino, winning the stunning gold medal at the national band competition. While around Hino, she acts in a fluttery cheerful way and is often seen complimenting and flirting with him. However when Hino's back is turned her personality shifts to that of a ruthless dictator. Subaru pushes the brass band hard endlessly, while refusing to accept imperfections even to the point of expelling a student from the band for being late.
