He came to deliver Christmas presents to the children of Izayoi Island. Thanks to Stitch for getting rid of Hämsterviel who was disguised as himself and doing bad things, Santa helps him with the gift delivery. By blowing a special whistle, he can summon a companion reindeer that pulls a flying sleigh.
