When Raine was younger she meet her prince at her father's business party, however before they could exchange names Raine was taken away by her father who was looking for her. Raine left behind one of her glass shoe crystal charms (she had a pair on her necklace). That was the only thing connecting them. Ever since Raine has waited for her prince charming.
