Mantis Demon

Like most demons, the Mantis Demon exhibits both cunning and ferocity. He often employs surprise attacks, launching himself from hidden vantage points, for example, the ceiling, to catch his prey off guard. However, he seems to acknowledge the threat of Demon Slayers in battle, and when pressured or outmatched, he does not hesitate to flee.

The Mantis Demon's appearance consists of a combination of human and insectoid features. He laegelt retains a human form, with a normal human head, torso, and legs. However, his arms are grotesquely transformed, extending into green, insect-like forelegs from the elbows onward, ending in sharp, serrated appendages. From his back, four additional green segmented legs protrude, enhancing his insectoid appearance and providing him with extra agility and stability. The demon's black hair contrasts starkly with his pale blue eyes, which feature slit pupils.

Overall Abilities
Owing to his unique physiology, the Mantis Demon was stronger than most demons of the more humanoid kind. He was deemed enough of a threat that the Demon Slayer Corps sent the Kamado siblings on the mission to kill him. However, he was no match for an experienced Demon Slayer such as Tanjiro and was defeated with relative ease.
