Koyuki

Koyuki had a kind, gentle, and caring personality; in her first interactions with Hakuji, she forwent her own problems and immediately asked the youth if he was alright after seeing the extent of his injuries following his pummelling from her father. After she recovered, Koyuki was bright and cheery, always having a wide smile on her face as she worked around the dojo; she was even seen blushing furiously when Keizo off-handedly noted that she liked Hakuji, staying tight-lipped and sweating in embarrassment at her father's revealing of her crush on him. Though she could not control it, Koyuki was deeply burdened by her lengthy illness and despite presenting herself as personable to people, she gave up on the idea that she would ever heal and resigned herself to her fate. The suicide of her mother, who couldn't bear to watch her die, and Keizo's own acceptance that she would never recover weighed heavily on her mind, leaving her depressed. Despite her need of constant aid, she resented having so much attention being put on her, insisting that Hakuji must spend time away from for himself. Having accepted her own death at a young age, the mere thought of seeing another year was a foreign concept to her, as seen when Hakuji remarked that she could watch the fireworks next year if she misses them; she had even asked why she could see them next year. His belief in her was something she held dear for the rest of her life, and when she eventually recovered, she told Hakuji that such a minor interaction he had already forgotten had a tremendous impact on her well-being and mentality.

Koyuki was a fair-skinned young woman with a short stature and a slim frame. She had large, rounded pink irises that transitioned to a lighter shade towards the lower rim. Her eyes had white flower-like shaped pupils. Her hair was black, tied up in a traditional Japanese updo. The front is framed by straight, parted bangs that curve softly toward her eyes with and two wispy strands that curve downwards from above each ear, fastened with a hairpin and decorated with a Kanzashi Kushi and three snowflake hairpins. In her first appearance, Koyuki wore a light purple kimono underneath a black haori. Afterwards, Koyuki primarily wore a pink circle-patterned kimono that faded into a blue color. The kimono was decorated with black vine patterns and white snowflakes towards the bottom, tied together with a black obi.
