Every girl Kaoru likes or has even dated all end up dating his friend Masato. Kauro starts to become quiet after this begins and even ignoring it even though it is hurting him inside. When Masato is dumped he forces Kaoru to embrace him to make him feel better until Kaoru finds a girl that he likes and afterwards always leaves. Throughout this story we see Kaoru becoming upset about this and when he is sick he makes the decision to end the arrangement which puts a strain on their relationship.
