Kamadoya Umenouchi

Head of the Umenouchi family. Only daughter of Umenouchi Hatoya. In order to become the Silver Empress, she aims to recapture the throne from Takenouchi. Although she is power-hungry, she lacks political skills, and shows signs of being less than intelligent, such as mistaking the research machine that keeps Fujiya alive for a beauty device. She is not on good terms with her husband, Fuyujito, whom she was engaged to in a marriage of convenience, and has a mistress. As a mother, she loves her daughter, but is looked down upon by her for her personality as described above. When she finds out that her daughter has the same aspirations as Hatoya, she opposes the idea because she knows about his tragic end, but she is denied her love and is dismissed as "soft."
