Ivan

Ivan is Mitya's half-brother (on their father's side) and Alyosha's brother; out of the three, he is the oldest. The two meet finally meet when Ivan brings Alyosha to Japan on a business trip, and Alyosha goes to find Mitya; despite agreeing that their father was not a good man, they feel no familial bond towards each other.
