He's the same age than Latifa and Vera, childhood friend of the latter, when Rio and Latifa began to live in the village Sara and Alma asked him and Vera to introduce Latifa to the rest of the village's children, later they would become friends, he looks up at Rio as an older brother since he began to learn martial arts from him.
