In the beginning when they first meet, he comes off as rude and fouled mouthed; however, later on when he finds out Fumi's reasoning for becoming a housekeeper, he seems to have a change of attitude. To make her more comfortable, he gives up his bedroom to her instead of making her stay in a small space in the apartment. Fumi notices he is very passionate and dedicated to his writing.
