Yunyun

Unlike other Crimson Demons, Yunyun is very sensitive and timid, and is often embarrassed by the chūnibyō customs of her tribe. Thanks to her shyness and lack of chūni tendencies she was ostracized by her clan, who see her as a weirdo, and Yunyun never developed any social skills, ending up as a loner who usually spends time in the the Guild playing games, even two-player ones, by herself. Moreover, Yunyun is desperately searching for friends, often stalking the ones she wants to befriend and making up excuses to engage with them, since Yunyun lacks confidence to approach people or ask for favors. She is quite unlucky too, since Yunyun usually isn't around when somebody is looking for her, besides befriending suspicious people like Dust. In the anime, Yunyun also compulsively lies to hide the fact that she is a loner. Due to her poor communication skills, Yunyun is often misinterpreted by those around her, who thinks she is a private person. Yunyun is also socially awkward, and although she tries to compensate her lack of interpersonal skills with books, Yunyun often casually brings up mortifying situations she experienced in the Crimson Demon Village, since Yunyun never noticed the second-hand embarrassment of her past. Futhermore, despite her Intelligence (which is high even by the Crimson Demons standards) and keen surrounding perception, due to her lack of social and interpersonal skills, Yunyun is extremely naive. She can be easily tricked by the ones who declare to be her friends, even when Yunyun perceives their intentions. She is also too gentle to refuse anything to the ones who ask her. Yunyun has low self-esteem too, often seeing herself as boring and a nuisance to people, because she enjoys discussing romance and everyday life, which is why Yunyun has a low standard for friends, even trying to summon a demon to befriend. She is also a worrying girl, since Yunyun usually gets stressed about foreseeable problems, and a crybaby, breaking down in tears whenever she is upset, ignored, defeated in a duel, or her friendship request is rejected. and practicing her clan's customs, like the chūni self-introduction, even though she finds such traditions embarrassing.

Yunyun is a young girl with crimson-colored eyes, a determined and timid look, and longish brunette hair (black in the novels) tied in two twin tails with red ribbons that lie on her shoulders. She is a little taller than Megumin, with more balanced proportions of muscles, with slim arms and legs. Yunyun usually wears a black robe and mantle, similar in design to Megumin’s. She wields a silver wand and wears a short sword on her hip. Underneath the mantle, she wears a low-cut blouse, and an ultra-short, pink miniskirt as well as a pair of dark toned pink stockings and brown boots. Although never shown visually, she has a barcode on her inner thigh.

Since she is a prodigy in the Crimson Demon tribe, Yunyun is a very talented spell-caster, just losing to Megumin in terms of magical talent. She is also very competent, being able to solo-play quests. *Basic Magic: Before heading out to the frontline to defeat Wolbach with Kazuma's party, Yunyun learned Basic Magic intending to use it to help her companions on their trip. **Create Water: Shoots a jet of pure and clean water from atmospheric moisture. *Intermediate Magic: Yunyun was forced to learn Intermediate Magic in order to save Komekko from monsters. ** Lightning: Summons a lightning bolt. **Fireball: Shoots a ball of fire that detonates on the target. **Blade of Wind: Creates blades of wind to violently slash the enemy. **Freeze Gust: Creates a freezing white fog. **Sleep: A curse that puts the target to sleep without them notice. **Unlock: Allows the user to open up any lock or unseal any object. **Flash: Creates an intense light that blinds the opponent. **Paralyze: Prevents the target from moving. *Advanced Magic: After putting in a great deal of work, she was finally able to learn the Advanced Magic synonymous with her clan. **Light of Saber: Creates a beam of light that cleanly slices the target. It is the Crimson Demons' favorite spell. **Lightning Strike: Summon bolts of lightning from the sky to strike their opponent. **Energy Ignition: A spell that sets the victim on blue-white flames. **Bottomless Swamp: Creates a dark-purple goo swamp that swallows anyone above it. **Cursed Lightning: Shoots a piercing bolt of black lightning. **Cursed Crystal Prison: A spell that instantly encases the victim in a prison of ice. **Inferno: Summons enormous flames that incinerate the surrounding area. **Tornado: Summons a devastating tornado. **Silent: A spell that muffles the sound in a selected area. **Light of Reflection: A spell that uses light refraction to turn the target invisible. **Control of Weather: A long term spell that grants one the ability to control the weather up to a certain range. *Detection Magic: Yunyun also learned the wizard's variant of Enemy Detection. **Enemy Search: Reacts to the enemy's presence in the target. *Teleport: Instantaneously transports up to 4 targets to a marked location. Each user can have 3 marked locations for teleportation. Yunyun's marked locations are the Crimson Demon Village, the Royal Capital, and the surroundings of the Devil King's Castle.
