He doesn’t have or understand feelings, as he was later revealed to be part of a hostile alien race named VIRM. He seems to be of one mind with Papa. Like the rest of APE, Vice Chairman sees parasites, FRANXX squads and even entire plantations as dispensible tools to achieve APE's ultimate goal of eradicating the klaxosaurs for the good of humanity. However, it is later revealed that his and Papa 's true motive for stamping out the klaxosaurs was so VIRM could consume all of humanity's souls for energy.
👔 Appearance
He is normally seen wearing a white headpiece that makes him resemble a garden gnome and a white and gold coat. He wears a mask as well, making him resemble a monkey. When his mask dropped in Episode 20, his true form is revealed. It looks like a purple, four-pointed star with eyes and no other body parts as VIRM does not believe in being bound to a body.
