Sara Ukonniemi

Katri's mother. She plans to go to Germany for three years to work as a migrant worker, but she gets caught up in the war and can't be contacted one year before she is scheduled to return to Finland. Her husband (Katri's father) is already deceased. In the first episode, she gave Katri a dachshund as a gift, and this dog is Abel. In episode 12, her letter from Germany was delivered to Katri via Uris.
