He is seen to be very protective of the Yozakura family, not allowing anyone to sit on him that he does not trust and willing to use himself as a shield to protect them. As a result of this, he is seen to be very aggressive when protecting the family or sensing danger but is calm otherwise. Goliath is an Okami Dog, which is a special breed that has continuously improved since the Mid-Edo Era. He has been protecting the Yozakura family since Mutsumi's Great-Great Grandmother's time.
