Ewen Egeburg

thumb|left|Ewen often joins his friends in teasing and arguing with Anya Ewen initially comes across as an arrogant and status-conscious child, often looking down on those he considers beneath him and readily joining in the teasing of others, particularly Anya Forger. Like many of Eden Academy's students, he places great importance on academic achievement, social standing, and earning the title of Imperial Scholar. Ewen can also be boastful about his privileged upbringing and accomplishments, and is prone to getting swept up in rumors and competitions. Despite this, Ewen is a genuinely loyal and caring friend. Alongside Emile , he is devoted to Damian and frequently accompanies him wherever he goes. While he often praises and admires Damian, his loyalty extends beyond simple hero worship, as he regularly worries about Damian's wellbeing, supports him during difficult situations, and tries to encourage him when he becomes discouraged. Ewen is also highly emotional and expressive, openly displaying excitement, jealousy, fear, and admiration without much restraint. thumb|Ewen enjoying his passion for space adventures with Anya Ewen has a strong interest in space exploration, aspiring to become a cosmonaut in the future. He speaks passionately about the "romance" of space travel and closely follows developments in the East-West space race. His enthusiasm for the subject is so great that he is willing to bond with others over it regardless of their usual differences, as shown when he eagerly discusses space adventures with Anya. His interest in science also contributes to his skepticism toward superstitions and fortune-telling, which he dismisses as unscientific. Nevertheless, Ewen's curiosity and playful nature often win out, as he later participates in a Ouija board session with his friends in hopes of predicting the subject of their next History test.

Ewen is a young boy with light skin and an elongated head. He has relatively tiny, square-shaped eyes with small black pupils (sometimes blue in the anime). Ewen's hair is his unique feature, larger than his own head and blond and combed back. When his hair is down, it reaches about chin-length. Like all other male students, Ewen wears Eden Academy's uniform—a black button-up shirt with black shorts. He also wears long white crew socks with black shoes. During their mornings on their way to Eden Academy, Ewen typically holds another bag in his arms along with his own bag on his back, the former likely to be Damian's bag.
