📜 About Damian Desmond
Damian Desmond is the second son of Donovan Desmond and attends Eden Academy as part of Cecile Hall, Group 3. Due to his upbringing as a child of an important and powerful man, Damian gained a highly respected status among his peers by default, making him grow incredibly arrogant, assuming Anya gained a crush on him when she stared at him. He is shown to prefer being called Lord Damian when spoken to. Later, it is hinted that a possible reason for Damian's behavior can be attributed to his brother's success as an Imperial Scholar and his father having set a high expectation for him to strive and become part of the Imperial Scholars. His father's influence and lack of attention to his life motivated him even further to meet his expectations, causing him to look down on people beneath his social class, for if they are not a benefit to him, they are only slowing him down to becoming an Imperial Scholar and in turn slowing his progress in getting his father's attention.

🧠 Personality
thumb|left|Damian's initial haughty personality Damian initially comes across as arrogant, status-conscious, and self-important due to his upbringing as a member of the influential Desmond family. As the son of a prominent politician, he is accustomed to receiving admiration from his peers and often expects special treatment, at one point preferring to be addressed as "Lord Damian." He frequently boasts about his family background and academic ambitions and initially tends to judge others according to their social standing, dismissing classmates such as Anya as "peasants" beneath him. Damian is also highly prideful and often struggles to admit vulnerability, particularly when it comes to his feelings, failures, or relationships with others. He dislikes appearing weak or dependent and can be reluctant to admit when he is wrong, embarrassed, or emotionally affected. As a result, Damian frequently masks his insecurities behind arrogance and bravado, causing his actions to often contradict his words. thumb|Damian's desire to earn recognition often causes him to push himself too hard Beneath this outward confidence, however, Damian is an intelligent and hardworking student who consistently performs well at Eden Academy. Much of his behavior is driven by his desire to earn the approval of his father, Donovan, whom he deeply admires. Believing that academic success will bring him recognition, Damian works diligently toward becoming an Imperial Scholar and often pushes himself beyond what is expected of a child his age. Damian's dedication is not driven solely by ambition. He genuinely enjoys studying, particularly history, and frequently spends his free time reading historical works to maintain both his knowledge and academic standing. However, his relentless pursuit of excellence sometimes comes at the expense of rest, recreation, and his own well-being, and he becomes frustrated whenever he feels he has failed to live up to the expectations associated with the Desmond name. thumb|left|Damian spending time with his best friends, Emile and Ewen Despite the pressure he places on himself and the seriousness with which he approaches his goals, Damian remains an ordinary child at heart. When allowed to lower his guard, he enjoys spending time with friends, playing games, going on adventures, and engaging in other childhood activities. Although he often acts mature for his age, those around him occasionally encourage him to relax and enjoy himself rather than constantly focusing on achievement. Damian also values his friendships with Emile Elman and Ewen Egeburg, whose loyalty and support help him with the pressures he places on himself. Although he is often reluctant to express his appreciation openly, he comes to regard them as his closest friends. thumb|Beneath his prideful exterior, Damian often places himself at risk to protect others While Damian can be brash, stubborn, and competitive, he regularly demonstrates kindness, integrity, and concern for others. He is willing to acknowledge achievement when it is deserved, defending Anya's Stella Star against accusations of cheating despite his frustration at being surpassed. He has also shown sympathy toward classmates such as George Glooman and repeatedly places himself at personal risk to protect others, including shielding Anya during a dodgeball match, attempting to confess the truth behind the handkerchief incident, carrying her out of the old schoolhouse, and volunteering to take her bomb during the Red Circus bus hijacking. His strong sense of fairness is further demonstrated when he rejects Murdoch Swan's offer of free Stella Stars, believing such honors should be earned through merit rather than manipulation. thumb|left|Despite his feelings, Damian often comes into conflict with Anya Despite his efforts to appear composed and mature, Damian is a sensitive child. He is easily embarrassed when receiving praise, discussing personal matters, or expressing affection, and he often hides his true feelings behind bravado, insults, or dismissive behavior. This tendency is especially evident in his interactions with Anya. Following their first confrontation at Eden Academy, Damian develops a crush on her but consistently denies or conceals his feelings out of embarrassment. While he frequently argues with her and dismisses her attempts to get closer to him, he repeatedly goes out of his way to help, protect, or impress her. He also becomes visibly jealous when she receives attention from other boys. thumb|Damian longs for a closer relationship with his family At his core, Damian is an insecure child who longs for recognition, affection, and connection from his family. He places great importance on even small signs of attention from his parents and continues to admire Donovan despite their strained relationship. He also seeks opportunities to connect with his older brother, Demetrius, and is disappointed when those efforts are ...
👔 Appearance
Damian is a young boy with short dark brown (sometimes blackish-brown) hair, hazel eyes, and light skin. Similar to his mother, Damian's eyes are narrowed and slightly drooping, with visibly long lower eyelashes and short, thin eyebrows above them. In the anime, his hair periodically has a greenish tinge. Damian often wears a condescending expression. In Anya's perspective, he gains a stupider appearance with round, wide eyes. Like other students, Damian is usually seen wearing Eden Academy's uniform. He also wears socks with vertical lines and black shoes. One of Damian's casual clothing consists of him wearing a white vest with a golden "D" emblem imprinted on the top left side over a light blue or dark purple long-sleeved buttoned shirt of choice, blackish pants, and brown shoes. He still retains his striped socks in this outfit.
