However, given his reputation as a killer, this kindness could be a facade. He claims that he does not take pleasure from murder; rather, he does it as a "game" to see how many people he can kill before dying. His cruel disposition repulses even fellow assassins like Speed-o'-Sound Sonic, who asserts that he is more rotten than the criminal underworld itself. He is a sadistic and psychotic individual, completely indifferent to human life. Manipulative by nature, he is fully aware of the Neo Heroes' destructive plans to overthrow the Hero Association and control humanity through mind manipulation. He takes pride in violence, even boasting about using unusual methods to kill, which he views as trophies. 'A' is shown to take great pleasure in torture, threatening to break Ryumon's body and mind in unfathomably cruel ways. 'A' believes human nature is inherently evil, reflecting his twisted, sadistic worldview. Despite his savage nature, he is also shown to be rather cowardly, as he ended up running away from both his fights with Sonic and Ryumon. Furthermore, when Ryumon transformed into a monster, ‘A’ started crying and begging for help while in a fetal position.
